Inspiration Thursday and...

This week's theme is Functional Art. We are to create a piece of art that is functional. Well, some may claim this is more craft than art, but whatever. It's a picture frame and I like it! These are fund and easy to make. I will be putting into this frame a photo of my mother and father taken when they were in China and they visited a panda bear refuge.



In other news...This is what I spent most of my weekend doing. Can you tell I like purple?



It was so much fun dyeing this fabric, and I learned so much about what to do and what not to do. And the best part was I made a big mess, just like a little kid! This is about 18 yards of fabric, so it will keep me going for a couple of months combined with other hand dyes that I have purchased. But I can hardly wait to do this again!
